About Alaska Ocean Pros

Owner Gabriel Linegar grew up on Alaska's waters, starting his guiding career in 2004 as a river guide before switching full-time to Homer halibut charters in 2013.

Alaska Ocean Pros runs long-range, full-day trips 40 to 60 miles offshore for halibut and lingcod, with rockfish and other bottomfish in the mix. The boats are catamarans — the 40-foot Casino and the 36-foot Joker, the latter run by Captain Pono Chow — carrying 10 to 12 passengers, with wildlife viewing worked into the run.
