Owner Mike Adams grew up fishing and rowing boats in New York's Adirondack Mountains before the pull of Alaska salmon and wild trout brought him north. He has guided and taught fly fishing in Alaska since 2006, and after seasons working for other Kenai River outfitters he started Alaskan Angling Adventures in 2009.
Adams lives year-round in Cooper Landing and keeps trips small and personalized — up to four anglers per guide — fly fishing and light-tackle spin fishing the Kenai River for king, sockeye and silver salmon, rainbow trout and Dolly Varden, under permits from the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, Chugach National Forest and other agencies.
