Boatman's Alaska

Boatman's Alaska runs guided drift-boat trips on the Kenai River out of Cooper Landing, fishing rainbow trout, Dolly Varden and four species of salmon from a 20-foot drift boat. Full- and half-day trips cover three stretches of river — the Upper Kenai, Kenai Canyon and the Middle River — and guides carry Coast Guard six-pack licenses along with first aid and CPR training. The operation puts a premium on teaching, welcoming first-timers as readily as experienced anglers.
