About Denali Angler
Denali Angler is George Rogers, a registered Alaska fishing guide who has fly fished the Denali area since 1992 and teaches science in the off-season; his outdoor writing has appeared in Alaska Magazine, Field & Stream, The Drake, The Boston Globe and the Los Angeles Times.
He guides day trips for Arctic grayling on spring creeks and clearwater streams south of Denali National Park near Cantwell, primarily with dry flies. Beginners are welcome, and rental rods, reels, flies and hip boots are available. His philosophy: a great day of guided fly fishing is about more than catching fish — the landscape and wildlife count too.
