Fish Finder Charters is run by Captain Colby Slanaker, born and raised in Ketchikan. He won a youth trout derby at age three, was deckhanding on charter boats by nine, and at fifteen bought his own boat and salmon trolling permit to fish commercially. After running a dive fishery business he earned his master's captain license to guide, and now spends a minimum of 250 days a year on the water.
Trips aboard the Double Header target all five salmon species, halibut and combination catches, with whale watching and sightseeing also offered, geared to anglers of all experience levels.
