Jason's Guide Service

Jason Lesmeister moved to Alaska at 21 to guide and now counts 31 years of guiding experience across the state, including 14 on the Kenai River. He took a guide job in Cooper Landing in 2006, soon after bought a home and built his business there, and describes himself as one of the busiest guides on the Kenai Peninsula.

Trips run the upper and middle Kenai from a custom-built drift boat: catch-and-release rainbow trout, sockeye and silver salmon, pinks and Dolly Varden, with both conventional and fly fishing. He emphasizes premium equipment, teaching skills, and eco-friendly, conservation-minded practices.
