Kenai River Float-n-Fish

Kenai River Float-n-Fish is the mom-and-pop operation of John and Heather Pearson, founded in 2004 in Cooper Landing. John grew up fly fishing Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, and Wyoming, moved to Cooper Landing in 2001 to guide, and 2026 marks his 26th season as a professional fishing guide. Heather, a Virginia Tech biology graduate who researched stream ecology before heading north, runs reservations, shuttles, and operations.

Trips are drift-boat floats for Kenai River trout and salmon, with fly and spin fishing and instruction in both. The Pearsons' philosophy leans on stewardship of the river, respect for fellow anglers, and family time outside — 'any day on the water beats a day at the office.'
