Kodiak Island Charters is a family business established in 1990, with Chris Fiala at the helm as skipper since day one. The operation runs a three-boat fleet out of Kodiak: the 43-foot U-Rascal, the 35-foot Moon Shadow, and the 34-foot Harvest Moon, all diesel-powered and carrying parties of six to nine anglers.
Trips target halibut from May through October, king salmon year-round, and silver salmon in late summer, plus Pacific cod, lingcod, and sea bass. The Fialas keep the operation family-run and put weight on personal contact with every client.
