Kodiak Marine Charters was founded in 2019 by Captain Lukas Bercy and his wife Tasnah. Lukas came to Kodiak in 2015, holds a 100-ton Master's license, and has both chartered and commercial fished; his brother Fritz started as a deckhand, earned his captain's license in 2024, and ran a boat in Larsen Bay before the brothers bought the Daybreak together.
The company runs two Coast Guard-inspected 43-foot Delta hulls, Moonlight and Daybreak, on full-day fishing trips, private charters, sightseeing, and hunting transport — targeting halibut, king and silver salmon, lingcod, rockfish, and Pacific cod.
