Never Monday Charters

Never Monday Charters is run by Captain Ken Gross, who has fished Alaska since 1975, when he headed north after graduating from Michigan State. He fished commercially from 1975 to 1996 — picking up a Southeast gillnet permit in 1981 — and later taught guides for an established charter company before returning to charter fishing with his own boat.

From Skagway, the Never Monday targets king salmon May through September in waters with no commercial fishing allowed for miles, mixing in wildlife watching and scenic cruises. Gross, a year-round resident and Alaska Audubon Society member, welcomes all levels of anglers and leans into wildlife education on every trip.
