Salmoncrazy Adventures is a family-owned charter operation on Kodiak Island run by Captain Jeff, a Coast Guard-licensed 50-ton master who grew up on Lake Superior in Duluth, Minnesota, and started fishing at age four. He counts 25 years catching Alaska sport fish and 35 years operating boats in rough conditions, including 17 years in Dutch Harbor and time running the Columbia River bar out of Ilwaco, Washington.
From the F/V Valkyrie the outfit fishes salmon, halibut, lingcod, yelloweye, and cod, with freshwater trout and steelhead trips by Watermaster raft, plus whale watching, bear viewing, and hiking on the side.
