Talkeetna River Guides

Talkeetna River Guides runs scenic river floats from a yurt on Talkeetna's Main Street — two-hour trips on the Talkeetna River and four-hour floats on the Chulitna — plus custom events and guided wilderness outings, operating late May through mid-September.

Owner Ashley Kaso first came north for a summer guiding job here in 2003, moved to Talkeetna for good in January 2004, and worked up to general manager before buying the company from Margaret Salmon in January 2019. The locally owned crew's pitch is simple: guests can feel how much they love where they live and what they do.
