Valdez Saltwater Adventures was established in 2017 by Captain Will Everett, a northern Minnesota native who spent 20 years as a US Air Force meteorologist, moved to Alaska on active duty in 2001, and turned his weather expertise and love of the ocean into a charter business. His captains include Buddy Scott, who grew up around Valdez charter boats and, in his rookie year, skippered the boat that took the Valdez fish derby's winning 285.8-pound halibut.
The five-boat fleet runs out of Valdez for halibut, salmon, lingcod, and rockfish, with a stated aim of treating every guest like family.
