About Bearfoot Adventures
Bearfoot Adventures is a Dillingham-based outfit established in 2003 by Chet and Halie Benson. Chet moved to Alaska straight out of high school and has spent 27 years working as a hunting guide, packer, and outfitter, with additional experience as a sport fishing guide and commercial fisherman; he holds a pilot's license and advanced wilderness medical training. Halie grew up hunting and fishing in Idaho and worked hunting camps in the Idaho backcountry and Arizona desert.
The operation runs backcountry hunts and emphasizes Leave No Trace stewardship of the country it works in.
