About Blue Mountain Lodge

Blue Mountain Lodge sits in the Becharof–Ugashik Lakes country of the Alaska Peninsula, built along an old 1950s oil-exploration road system with its own 4,700-foot airstrip. Hosts Tracy and Linda Vrem keep it small — the duplex guest cabin sleeps two couples and up to six single guests — with home-cooked meals and a main lodge looking out on the lake, Blue Mountain and the Aleutian Range.

Tracy Vrem is a lifelong Alaskan with over 40 years of guiding experience on the Alaska Peninsula and holds Alaska Master Guide license #96. Days are built around fly-outs by Super Cub and Cessna for brown bear, moose, caribou and bird hunting, plus fishing untouched salmon streams for salmon, trout and char.

Season & Booking

Alaska hunting seasons vary significantly by Game Management Unit and species. Confirm current seasons with ADF&G and book well in advance — quality outfitters fill 6–18 months ahead for peak species. Non-residents must be accompanied by a licensed guide or qualifying Alaska resident for most big game species.
