Registered guide Jason Bunch, a former Coast Guard rescue swimmer on Kodiak since 1997, guides mountain goat and brown bear hunts island-wide.

Jason Bunch came to Kodiak in 1997 as a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter rescue swimmer, trained in land and sea survival, backcountry safety and mountain rescue. After working for some of the island's most successful guides — and hunting sheep, caribou, moose and black bear across Alaska on his own time — he began guiding in 2006.
Now an Alaska registered guide, he runs mountain goat and brown bear hunts on Kodiak Island along with mountain backpacking trips, with an emphasis on fair-chase hunting and conservation.
Background as described by the operator on their own website.
Alaska hunting seasons vary significantly by Game Management Unit and species. Confirm current seasons with ADF&G and book well in advance — quality outfitters fill 6–18 months ahead for peak species. Non-residents must be accompanied by a licensed guide or qualifying Alaska resident for most big game species.
