Rainy Pass Lodge is owned by Steve Perrins, with Steven H. Perrins II also part of the operation. The lodge bills itself as Alaska's oldest hunting lodge, established in 1937, on ground where guided hunts date back to the 1920s.
Big game hunts cover moose, Dall sheep, caribou, and brown/black bear combos, described as true fair-chase Alaskan hunting with first-class service and a mix of comfort and remoteness. Outside hunting season the lodge runs horseback expeditions, wildlife viewing, glacier and helicopter tours, winter snowmachine trips on the Iditarod and Iron Dog trails, and an Alaska youth camp called Camp Iron Sights.
