Wrangell Outfitters
Horseback Dall sheep, moose, and grizzly hunts from the 1911-era Horsfeld camp on the edge of Wrangell–St. Elias, NPS-authorized.

About Wrangell Outfitters
Wrangell Outfitters runs horseback hunts for Dall sheep, moose, and grizzly bear from Horsfeld, a historic camp on the eastern edge of Wrangell–St. Elias National Park & Preserve, and is authorized by the National Park Service to operate inside the park. The camp dates to the early-1900s gold strike of miner Joe Horsfeld — two of its cabins were built in 1911 — and hunting guide Herb Stevens added the cookhouse, tent frames, and corral in the 1970s.
Range horses are kept year-round, and non-hunting base camp trips, hiking, photography, and horseback riding are offered alongside the hunts.
