Alaska Fishing with Mark Glassmaker

Mark Glassmaker started guiding on the Kenai River in 1990 at age 19 and has guided south-central Alaska ever since. He is US Coast Guard licensed, permitted by Alaska State Parks and the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, and holds Master Guide status with the Kenai River Professional Guide Association. He runs the operation with his wife and co-owner Cindy.

The business pairs guided fishing — king, sockeye, silver, and pink salmon, rainbow trout, steelhead, Dolly Varden, and halibut on the Kenai, Kasilof, Cook Inlet, and remote fly-in waters — with seven riverside guest cabins in Soldotna. Trips are built around customization, matching target species, group, and budget rather than a one-size-fits-all program.
