Deep Creek Fishing Club was established in 1989 by Steve and Vivian Moe on a bluff overlooking Cook Inlet in Ninilchik. Steve grew up in Alaska fishing and hunting with his father, became a fishing guide in 1978 and earned his Coast Guard captain's license in 1981; Vivian, who arrived in Alaska in 1994, manages lodge operations and guest services.
The lodge pairs saltwater trips for halibut and yelloweye with bear viewing and helicopter fly-out adventures, housing up to 12 guests in three duplex cabins with fine dining. The stated aim is great fishing, great dining and great fellowship.
