Driftwood Wilderness Lodge is run by Nick Blanco, a licensed boat captain and pilot who has lived in Alaska for nearly 15 years and guided more than 15 seasons out of Larsen Bay on Kodiak Island. The lodge has four guest bedrooms plus the newly built Whitney Creek cabin for hunters, and has been featured on the TV show Building Alaska.
Fishing centers on salmon and halibut, with lingcod, rockfish, steelhead, and Dolly Varden also on the menu, and nearby stream fishing including the Karluk River's sockeye and king runs. The lodge pitches custom week-long trips built around each group.
