Maclaren River Lodge

Maclaren River Lodge sits at Mile 42 of the Denali Highway, an old lodge and roadhouse that has served hunters, trappers, and prospectors for half a century and remains the last lodge on the highway open through the winter, reachable by snowmachine, dog team, or air.

The lodge offers rustic lakeside cabins, food made in house with local ingredients, and trips including airboat tours, canoe trips, glacier hikes, and a wilderness camp. It also works as a functioning roadhouse, selling fuel and handling tire and limited mechanical and welding repairs for highway travelers in summer and snowmachiners in winter.
