Resurrection Lodge on the Bay is the beachfront operation of Kendall and Michelle Wiley of Waxahachie, Texas. Kendall traced his biological roots to Alaska in 1996 and found three siblings in Anchorage and Seward; after two decades of visits, the couple bought the old Saltwater Lodge sight unseen in winter 2016 and opened their first season in summer 2017.
The property on Resurrection Bay includes lodge rooms, a three-bedroom suite, the Alaska Beach Barn, and a base-camp yurt, with a hot buffet breakfast every morning and shuttle service from town. The Wileys call the work a labor of love — a quiet spot aimed at nature enthusiasts (no weddings).
