Spirit Walker Expeditions has been locally owned and operated in Gustavus since 1987 and calls itself the longest-running locally owned sea kayak operation of its kind in Southeast Alaska. Guided trips range from day paddles out of Gustavus and humpback whale-watching at Point Adolphus to Glacier Bay expeditions and multi-day wilderness camps in the Myriad Islands.
The company operates under Forest Service special-use permits in the Tongass and deliberately spreads its trips across a wide area to limit impact on fragile ecosystems, teaching guests low-impact camping and regional ecology along the way.
Background as described by the operator on their own website.
$325–$450 per person
