Wings Airways & Taku Glacier Lodge

Wings Airways flies five turbine de Havilland Otter floatplanes from the historic seaplane base on downtown Juneau's waterfront, where the company has operated for over three decades. Its tours pair glacier flightseeing over the Juneau Icefield with visits to its private wilderness lodge on the Taku River.

Taku Glacier Lodge was built in 1923, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and was once home to Mary Joyce, the Alaskan pioneer whose 1,000-mile solo dogsled journey made national news in the 1930s. Today's offerings are a five-glacier seaplane exploration and a lodge trip that adds a salmon feast; the company is Adventure Green Alaska certified.
