Alaska River Adventures

Alaska River Adventures has run guided fishing, scenic rafting, hiking, and lodging out of Cooper Landing for more than 40 years. The outfit holds permits for six protected areas — including the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, Chugach National Forest, Alaska State Parks, and Katmai, Lake Clark, and Togiak lands — letting it range from half-day Upper Kenai River trips to fly-in expeditions and multi-day lodge packages.

The guide crew is led day-to-day by operations managers Tyler Gottfredson and Jeremy Lewis, the lead fly-in guide, with trips targeting rainbow trout, salmon, halibut, and other species, plus family-friendly rafting.
