Alaska Troutfitters has been introducing visitors to Kenai River fishing since 1984. Founder Curt Muse was a pioneering Kenai fly fisherman and river guide credited with innovating fly fishing techniques for the river; after his death in 2005, the operation passed to anglers who had mentored under him for more than a decade and aim to carry his wisdom forward with every guest.

Based around a fly shop on the upper Kenai in the Cooper Landing area, the outfit runs guided fly fishing and light-tackle trips for rainbow trout and salmon, along with scenic river floats and riverfront lodging.
