Around The Bend Fishing is a small owner-operated family business run by guide Simeon Paxman, who fishes the Kenai and Kasilof rivers out of Soldotna — power-boat trips on the Kenai and drift-boat trips down the Kasilof, both in Willie boats. When there is room, his son Simmy comes along to help on the boat. The season runs June through September for sockeye, coho and king salmon, with trout the only fish released.
