Big Blue Charters is owned by Mike and Karen Keating, year-round Sitka residents, and has been locally owned and operated for over 30 years. Mike started commercial fishing off the Washington coast at age twelve, went on to fish commercially in Alaska, and holds a 100-ton US Coast Guard license; he still captains one of the boats alongside a crew of other experienced captains.
The multi-boat fleet runs single-day charters and multi-day packages out of Sitka for king salmon, coho, halibut and rockfish.
