Fly Guides

Fly Guides is owned by Greg Schlachter, who guides alongside a small crew of working fly fishing guides. The outfit runs half-day and full-day trips in the Chilkat and Chilkoot river valleys near Haines, targeting all five Pacific salmon species, Dolly Varden, cutthroat trout, and steelhead, and operates under special use authorization from the US Forest Service.

Trips are also reachable from Skagway via the fast ferry, and the site describes the crew as sharing a lifelong passion for fly fishing with visitors.
