Kenai Methods is owned and guided by Brandon Ring, born and raised in Alaska, who grew up fishing the Kenai River and local streams in the 1980s and picked up a fly rod at about age seven. He worked as a professional firefighter/paramedic before starting to guide in 2017, and has since made guiding his full-time career.
Trips run the Kenai and Kasilof rivers by drift boat and custom aluminum boats for king, sockeye and silver salmon, rainbow trout and Dolly Varden, with both fly and conventional gear provided (Orvis, Sage, Shimano). Ring calls safety his first priority on Alaska's cold water, and vacuum-pack fish processing is available.
