Maverick Charters was established in 2015, when Captain Eric started the business with a single boat. In 2020 he partnered with Captain Billy and merged with Silverfox Charters, which the company describes as the longest-running charter operation in Homer. The result is a family-owned outfit whose fleet page lists four boats: the 30' Julia Lynn, the 35' Outrageous, the 28' Pacific Sun, and the 56' Ultimate, which carries groups of up to 25 anglers.
All captains are USCG licensed and CPR certified — co-owner Billy holds a 100-ton master's license and has been with the fleet since 2010, while Eric holds a marine biology degree. The company pitches quality, fun, family-friendly trips for all ages.
