About Tyrrell's Trails

Tyrrell's Trails is owned and operated by Luke Tyrrell, who was born into a subsistence lifestyle in rural Alaska and raised flying, hunting, and trapping. He began guiding at age 15, earned his pilot's license at 17, and now holds a commercial license — he personally flies all of his hunters.

The operation runs 10-day Dall sheep, moose, grizzly, and caribou hunts in the Brooks Range from a Chandalar Lake base camp covering three major drainages, with float, fixed spike camp, and backpack options. Tyrrell takes a limited number of hunters each year to keep hunts one-on-one and customized.
