All Alaska Outdoors Lodge in Soldotna is owned by Dr. Bob Ledda, a physician and bush pilot who first came to Alaska in 1986 for a summer of commercial salmon fishing and spent 25 years as an ER doctor on the Kenai Peninsula. He began building the lodge in 1993 and finished in 1996; his wife Suzanne helps run it, three of their five children have worked there, and he still practices medicine from an on-site building.
The four-acre complex offers river, saltwater, fly, and fly-in fishing along with brown bear viewing and ptarmigan hunting, aiming to get guests close to nature without giving up comfort.
