Island Point Lodge

Island Point Lodge sits on Kupreanof Island about 12 miles south of Petersburg, on a stretch of the Tongass with no roads or utilities — power comes from the lodge's own diesel generators. The operation is built around self-guided salmon and halibut fishing, with packages that include lodging, three meals a day, bait, and an 18-foot aluminum Lund to run yourself.

Cabins and lodge rooms accommodate groups from couples up to parties of eight, and the lodge has recently added self-guided black bear hunting.
