Kenai Jim's Lodge & Guide Service

Kenai Jim's Lodge & Guide Service has operated since 1978 — by its own account one of the oldest sportfishing businesses on the Kenai Peninsula. "Kenai Jim," a guide licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard and the State of Alaska with over 40 years as a professional sportfishing guide and freelance outdoor writer, runs the operation with his wife Ruth.

The outfit pairs modern condominium-style lodging in Soldotna with guided fishing for king salmon and the peninsula's other salmon runs, trout, and halibut, and pitches its packages at roughly half the cost of fly-out lodges.
