About Kingfisher Charters

Kingfisher Charters & Lodge was opened in 1990 by Seth Bone, a lifelong Sitka resident, and grew from a one-man operation into a full fishing lodge largely on client referrals. The operation pairs lodging on Sitka Sound with charter fishing aboard modern, fully equipped boats run by contracted operators.

Sitka's fishery lets guests target several species in a single day — king and silver salmon, halibut, rockfish, lingcod, and sablefish — fishing offshore or in protected inside waters depending on the weather.

Background as described by the operator on their own website.
