Raspberry Island Lodge

Raspberry Island Remote Lodge has been in the Ivie family since 1996, when they bought the former Wakefield Fisheries cannery site on Raspberry Island near Kodiak and began restoring it. Mike Ivie led the lodge for 25 years, overseeing builds and logistics, while his brother and business partner Bill led the way on the water. Mike's son Eric, who grew up learning the island's tides, wildlife, and rhythms, has managed operations with his wife since 2022.

The lodge keeps guest numbers small, with private double-occupancy cabins and all-inclusive stays: guided saltwater fishing for halibut, salmon, lingcod, and rockfish, plus bear and whale viewing, kayaking, and hiking. The family's stated approach favors authenticity over luxury and treating visitors like family.
