Salmon Run Lodge

Salmon Run Lodge is run by a small-town family from Arizona who spend their summers in Cooper Landing operating the lodge — an arrangement they describe as a chance to work in a beautiful place while teaching their kids a strong work ethic. The family is open about what drives them: faith, family, the outdoors, and filling the freezer with food they grow, hunt, and fish themselves.

The operation centers on the Kenai River: guided full- and half-day trips on the middle and lower river, drift-only trips on the upper river, and timing built around the sockeye and silver runs and the Kenai kings, with trout and halibut options as well. Lodging runs from cabins to chalets sleeping up to twelve, and an on-site tackle shop and fish processing service comes with a plain-spoken guarantee: you get your own fish back.
