Quinhagak, Alaska

Quinhagak (locally Kwinhagak) is the gateway to the Kanektok River — nicknamed the 'Fish Factory' and widely regarded as one of Alaska's premier remote salmon rivers within the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge. All five Pacific salmon species plus trophy leopard rainbow trout, Arctic char, Dolly Varden, and grayling fill its clear waters. Alaska West and Reel Action Alaska Lodge operate out of Quinhagak for world-class fly fishing. Brown bear are plentiful in the surrounding refuge. Access via charter flight from Anchorage.
