Alaska Alpine Adventures

Alaska Alpine Adventures was founded in 1998 by Dan Oberlatz and has spent more than two decades handcrafting guided wilderness itineraries across the state. Trips span backpacking, guided hiking, kayaking, rafting, multisport tours, family adventures, and basecamp stays.

The company operates in Lake Clark National Park, Katmai, Gates of the Arctic, Kobuk Valley, Wrangell–St. Elias, Denali, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and Aniakchak National Monument. Oberlatz still leads the outfit, alongside general manager Nick Allen and a roster of returning guides.
