Alaska Charters & Adventures, established in 1989, is run by the husband-and-wife team of Brenda Schwartz-Yeager and John Yeager out of Wrangell. Brenda was raised in an Alaska pioneer and commercial fishing family and has guided full-time for 32 years; John came north after a 17-year Coast Guard career. Both hold 100-ton Coast Guard Masters licenses along with state guide and naturalist certifications.
Trips run in small, carefully organized groups: Anan bear viewing, the Stikine River, LeConte Glacier, whale watching, photography tours, and guided fishing, with cabin rentals and backcountry camping also on the menu. The company is a Tongass National Forest permit holder.
