Float Alaska

Float Alaska outfits do-it-yourself float fishing trips out of Bethel, handling rafts, camp gear, bush flights, and logistics for 5-to-12-day expeditions covering 40 to 140 river miles on the Kanektok, Goodnews, Aniak, Kwethluk, Kisaralik, and other Southwest Alaska rivers. Target species run from all five salmon to leopard rainbow trout, char, grayling, pike, and sheefish.

Owner Eric Elliott has spent most of his life chasing fish, floating rivers, and camping, with guide experience in Idaho and Alaska; he bought the company in 2012. The outfit's pitch is taking the headache out of DIY while keeping the value and satisfaction of floating a river drainage top to bottom on your own.
