About Goodnews River (float trips)

These are guided float-fishing trips down the Goodnews River, which flows through the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge in Southwest Alaska, run by Alaska Rainbow Adventures — a USFWS-regulated operator on the river with over three decades of float experience. Fly-in trips run June through September for all five Pacific salmon, leopard rainbow trout, Dolly Varden and Arctic grayling.

Two formats are offered: a standard self-contained float for groups of up to eight, and a Fisherman's Deluxe trip that adds a gear boat and an extra camp hand so guests just fish — with cots, spacious two-angler tents and a custom dining tent. On the water, two anglers fish per guided raft and can rotate guides daily.

Background as described by the operator on their own website.
