Guide and pilot Cabot Pitts flies hunters into an exclusive Katmai Preserve concession for brown bear, plus Wrangells Dall sheep and moose hunts.

Alaska Wild Wind Adventures is owned and operated by Cabot Pitts, Alaska Registered Guide #1299. Pitts started hunting with his father at age four, spent college summers packing for an Anchorage hunting operation while swimming competitively at Virginia Tech, and moved to Alaska full-time after graduation to guide.
The outfit holds a guide-exclusive concession in the Sugarloaf area of Katmai Preserve — where it is the only outfitter permitted to run guided hunts — and is an authorized NPS concessioner in both Katmai and Wrangell-St. Elias, hunting Alaska Peninsula brown bear, Wrangells Dall sheep, Alaska-Yukon moose, and grizzly. Pitts is also the pilot, flying clients into the backcountry in the company's Maule M-6 and Super Cub under a Part 135 air taxi certificate, and serves on the board of the Alaska Professional Hunters Association.
Background as described by the operator on their own website.
Alaska hunting seasons vary significantly by Game Management Unit and species. Confirm current seasons with ADF&G and book well in advance — quality outfitters fill 6–18 months ahead for peak species. Non-residents must be accompanied by a licensed guide or qualifying Alaska resident for most big game species.
