Igiugig, Alaska

Igiugig (population ~70) sits at the outlet of Lake Iliamna where the Kvichak River begins its journey to Bristol Bay. The Kvichak system produces trophy rainbow trout that regularly exceed 30 inches and 15 pounds — some of the largest in North America. World-renowned lodges including No-See-Um and Kvichak Lodge operate here, making this one of the most sought-after fly fishing destinations on earth. The Kvichak historically hosted one of Bristol Bay's largest sockeye salmon runs, though escapement has varied significantly by year. Fly-in from Anchorage or King Salmon.
