Aleknagik Island Lodge is a family-owned and operated fishing lodge on a private five-acre island in Lake Aleknagik, 25 miles north of Dillingham in the Wood River–Tikchik lake system. The lodge limits bookings to eight guests per week and runs jetboats to reach more than 120 miles of rivers and lakes.
King and sockeye salmon fishing runs mid-June through late July, followed by chums and pinks, with silvers from early August through September; rainbow trout, Arctic char, grayling, northern pike, and Dolly Varden round out the season.
