Mike and Sarah Warner run Coffman Cove Adventures on Prince of Wales Island, built around a specific idea: the full Alaska trip for experienced hunters and anglers who don't want or need a guide. Both avid outdoors people, the Warners explored the state on their own hunting and fishing trips before settling on Coffman Cove; Mike's sister Amanda and her family help run the operation.
Guests get a warm cabin, home-style meals, and a 20-foot Hewescraft with GPS/sonar to run themselves — chasing halibut, salmon, and trout, or unguided black bear, Sitka blacktail deer, and duck hunts. Guided fishing packages are also available.
