About Prince of Wales Eagle Lodge

Prince of Wales Eagle Lodge is run by owners Kurtis Manthie and Karen Widrick with a staff of chefs, guides, dock hands, and housekeepers. The lodge sits at Whale Pass on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska's Inside Passage, with a newly renovated lodge building, private rooms, and family-style meals.

The operation is built around choice: guided or self-guided fishing for all five salmon species, steelhead, cutthroat and rainbow trout, Dolly Varden, halibut, cod, and rockfish, with 20-foot covered boats for saltwater and skiffs for do-it-yourselfers. Off the water, guests can get to cave tours, rainforest hikes, waterfalls, and beachcombing.
