Cranberry Creek Lodge is a veteran-owned, family-operated lodge on Raspberry Island, 30 air miles west of Kodiak with no road access. Owner Bill (the site gives first names only) was born in Palmer and served 25 years in the Coast Guard; a Kodiak tour introduced him to his wife Rachelle, born and raised there, and after his 2021 retirement the family began sharing its hunting and fishing life with guests.
The 1,400-square-foot main lodge sleeps six, joined by two newer four-guest cabins, with family-style meals cooked on site. Trips cover salmon and halibut fishing plus deer, duck and bear hunting, capped at six guests per trip to keep the family atmosphere.
